The variable bearing block allows many positions for the drive wheel. With the possible height adjustments you can for example influence the desired resp. required seat height. The different positions of the drive wheel on the horizontal basis toward the rear has the effect that the danger of tiling is lessened but the easy running behaviour also decreases. When being positioned in front of the back tubes the wheelchair runs easier but the danger of tilting has to be banned through the balance of the upper body. Not all patients are capable of this. |

Arm Support. The arm support is removable, up-swivelling and foldable behind the back. After unlocking the bracket slides upward to the final position and is the swivelled behind the back support. The Eurochair Avanti is distinguished by a large selection of seats and backs. The back height can generally be adjusted by 2 cm through the adjustable back strap. 36/38 or 40/42 or 42/44 cm optionally 3 back tubes lengths are available for the back heights. The term active wheelchair is in need of some explanation. The existing activity level of the user is not a deciding factor for a choice of this kind, but the opportunities provided by this flexible system to extend the activities available to the user. On an active wheelchair, the various adjustment possibilities (adaptations) are crucial. These are available when the individual user makes adjustements to the component system, just like putting on a tailor-made suit. Therefore the term adaptive wheelchair is more appropriate in our opinion. The more the wheelchair can be adapted to the individual body measurements of the user, tailored to their movement restrictions and provide the desired handling characteristics, the more the wheelchair can be effective in the users everyday life. |
